Charms

These are a few charms I have made for my mini's and altered projects.

This is my gold, copper, blue, and green charm

This is a Christmas charm I just did for my first ever charm swap over at Morepaperthanshoes.

Here is my second charm for the Valentine charm swap over at Morepaperthanshoes

This one is a real simple charm for my hubby's mini I made for him. I had used Recollections paper that had these wings on it. Sorry I can't remember the name of the paper. But I had these pink and black wing earrings that I took apart and used for the dangle of the charm.

I had done a class at Archivers and made a mini. But it was missing something. So of course I had to make a charm to go with it.

Made this for my son's Halloween mini a few last year. Again just took some jewelry apart.

This one is for this years Halloween mini of my kids. The back of the pumpkin has a nob you can push and it lights up.

Here is the charm I received from the Dec charm swap from Morepaperthanshoes.

And this is the second charm from the swap. I just finished the second charm for the Valentine swap over there and can't wait to get mini back.

Brown ruffle flowers

Made these flowers from a brown ruffle shirt I got from my local thrift store. It is one of those shirts that if you put it on it stretches to fit you then comes back together when you take it off.

All I did was cut a piece off the bottom and then cut it in half to make two flowers. Here is a close up of the shirt. I love using recycled items. And on my budget right now I have to. But I do find a lot of things at my local thrift store.

Projects for my scrap space.

I got this at a local thrift store. Just added a few embellishments and some bling.
I first glued on a lace doily from my stash then took apart the big pink flower I got from the dollar tree and redid it my way. Added a few wedding appliques and more flowers some I made and some from the store. I also made the stick pin. The bling is from Prima

I brought this in from my garden. It was white and a bit dirty from the weather. Just painted it white and then light pink and a darker shade of pink for the main rose. I mixed a metallic green with a little white to soften the green. I have it hanging in my craft room now.

I tried to make my own trims. I still need to work on them more.

The top bottom one is one my sister gave me that was on a flower spray. The bottom one is one I got in a small bag of pearls from my local thrift store. Studied it and made my own. I tried to make the top bottom one which is the pink one. Not so easy. I believe it Karla001 on etsy that you can buy these from. And in different colors. The ones that look like a kite. I came up with. I got the idea for these from making beaded key chains for my kids when they were little.

here are a few close ups.

Thanks so much for looking. I will be posting some recent photos of my craft room make over soon. So please stop by and check it out.

Altered Lampshade.

I altered this lamp shade I was using in my bedroom. Just bought a different shade from my local thrift store and left the base as it was. I laid a lace curtain on the lamp shade and glimmer misted it a darker shade of brown. Then added different trims I had in my stash. I made the flowers from ribbon and used a cameo I purchased from my local dollar tree that they used as a hair tie. Cut the rubber band off and glued it on. I added brown bead trim form Hobby Lobby on top and bottom. I then made a few stick pin to match glue on a piece of my vintage jewelry and used some flourishes from Wal Mart and punched out a few butterflies from the Martha Stewart punch added brown stickles and added them to the lampshade.. Here are a few close ups.

Wedding dresses

I got these at my local thrift store. I am going to use the appliques and the material in my scrap booking.

Here are a few close ups of the two dresses. I only paid about $ 56.00 for the both with the 75% and my military discount of 15% . One was originally 149.00 and the other 99.00 dollars.

They are just loaded with appliques right down to the hem of  dresses. And the tails and arms are also fully loaded with appliques. I am going to cover and make flowers with the material.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!

Hi everyone,

I have been a little busy these days trying to get my room in order more. I added pretty wall paper to my shelves. Hubby installed a shelf to better hold and display my mini albums on. I used the baskets that held my Mani's and filled them with my special trims. I took down a few things and did different things with some of them. I now use the rack for the trims to hold my tags on. Don't have many but will someday. I did just get my tags from my Christmas tag swap. Have to hang them on there. I moved some of the draws around cause went to use one of my clear stamps and cause it was close to a vent had a heck of a time taking it off the clear plastic. My vents are on the ceiling in my basement as that is where my mini Michael's (craft room) is.

I also have been trying to decorate it more. Still trying to keep the garden theme with a bit of a shabby chic feel. I had this cute garden plaque I used outside and redid it and now it looks so gorgeous in my craft room. I am trying to make some panels from material to cover up my paper storage and a few other shelves so they go more with the room. I am even decorating the trash can. Still need to finish that project. A little at a time when I get the chance between kids, grand kid, hubby, and home life. I will post new pic's as they come along. But thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look. Leave me a comment and let me know what it looks like. Would love to hear from you. Hugs

Halloween projects

Made these Halloween Witch shoe cards for a you tube tutorial.
I made one for me, my sister, and my niece. You make them using the Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge.
Here is where you can find the tutorial.

Next is a Halloween tag I made. Again using the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.
Used a lot of odds and ends I have had in my stash.
The top is the front and the bottom is the back of the tag.

Pumpkin tag.

I was cutting some pumpkin shapes and a few others from my October 31st cartridge for my niece and sister. As I pulled them up I was left with just the guts of the pumpkins face and thought it was cool. So I quickly punched out a tag in orange card stock from my sizzix die tag. Then lifted the face and glued it in the center of the tag added glossy accents on top added a few black fibers and inked the edges in black and instant jack-o-lantern.

Lace and Trims

Got this bucket of laces and trims and things off of craigslist. I paid $25.00 for it all. You won't believe how much was in there. I couldn't even take pictures of it all. But was loaded with some of the prettiest laces and trims. Some never even open. And it all came in different shapes and sizes. Below are just a few of them.

There were also these appliques in there. Some they tore up into pieces but can still be used.

And last got these over the weekend at a yard sale. The lady said she used to make costumes for her daughter that was in pagants.

Another craigslist find.

Another craigslist find. This one was $10.00. I got the tag punch and the tag stamps along with a hole punch and scissors and three small stamp pads from Stampn up.

craigslist .25 and .50 cent stamps

I went on craigslist and saw that they were selling new and used rubber stamps for .25. I thought sure they are. But I called and made an appointment to go see what they had. And let me tell you she had buckets of stamps. And yes they were for a quarter and some that were larger for fifty cents. I bought over two hundred stamps all for fifty bucks. Gotta love craigslist.

Prima packageing mini album.

Front Cover
Used a copy of the prima dress form printed and glued it on cardboard then ran thru embossing folder.
The papers are from a recent blog hop over at swirlydoos that I had won. I used what was left from the butterfly garden mini. This might be a very long post. Sorry!!! I will try to keep it quick.
the ruffle skirt is some trim I got at a yard sale. It is vintage. I printed some tags from online. The flowers are Prima. Use some rub-ons from prima. Blush rub-ons. I used different colors stickles. Rhinestones and gems. I made all the stick pins.

I tried to use as much as the packaging as I could from everything. Oh I forgot to mention this mini is for a contest over at MCS. We have to incorporate the prima packaging that the flowers and so on come in. They do make the cutest packaging. I ordered a berry bouquet from bluemoon scrap booking and used the packaging there as a tag.
The ribbon that has prima collection is from the packaging that I got from Pam over at MCS. I won a contest and it went around the box of bottled flowers.

I wanted to be able to add as many photos as possible. So there are alot of tags behind the larger photo mats.
I purchased some punched swirls from a wonderful friend Gabi. You all I'm sure know her.

I also used several tags from 29th street market. I have been holding on to them and just know found a way to use them. The butterflies are stickers mounted onto clear transparency and cut out. Some Recollections bling.

The bird cage is just a pattern a friend had traced for me to use as a pattern. I traced and cut from the paper. I did two different one and attached them with a eyelet. I didn't get a photo but the top bird cage swivels to the side .

The back is for journaling.

More packaging from prima. It had the birds in it. I just cut a mat on the from and back and layed it into the rectangle and added a tag on from cover of it.

The back.

A lot of the sayings and things are cut from AMM expressions twill ribbon. I have had this for over five years and again found a way to now use it. The clear word tag at the top. I used the packaging that the two word came on by AMM also.

I had entered a tag swap with steffigal1 on youtube. And just couldn't wait to use some of my beautiful tags I received. The metal tag plates are from Makingmemories.

The top  blue butterfly shape lifts up to add a photo under. I added a punch out fro the papers and just glued it to a large paper clip I purchased at Wal-mart on the clearance rack.

The inside. If you lift the oval you can add a photo under it as well as the from of it.

Also if you flip the oval over it has a journal spot.

I cut the fence from a pattern I have glued it to cardboard and ran thru an embossing folder.

The large flower is from the Christmas tree store in Mass. My friend sent me some last year. I used several different stamps from various places.

This book turned out wider then I planed. But love it. The back cover I left plane.

These are what some of the tags look like.
Thanks you so much for stopping by and taking a look. Again sorry for the long post too.
